During my career in education I have had the pleasure of serving as a classroom teacher in grades 1-5 for 11 years, serving as an Instructional Coach, serving as an Assistant Principal and Principal. My professional education includes a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from UNCG, a Masters in Reading Education (grades k-12) from Appalachian State University, a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Gardner-Webb University and a Master's add-on licensure from Gardner Webb University.

I believe that all children can learn and grow. At our school, teachers will put the needs of students first and be committed to  helping each child reach their full potential. On a personal note, I am married and have 4 young children. I am involved in church and love my pets, shopping, spending time with family and reading.

I look forward to serving you and your children this year.
